        Qingdao is located on the west coast of the Pacific Ocean and the Yellow Sea and lies at the southern end of the Shandong Peninsula off Korea and Japan in the East. It is an important coastal central city, an international port city and a famous historical and cultural city in China. Covering a land area of 11000 square kilometers and a sea area of 12000 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over seven districts and three cities, with a permanent resident population of 9.4998 million.

       Qingdao is a regional international transportation hub city in China. Qingdao port is an important international maritime port, and its container throughput and cargo throughput rank among the top ten in the world. Qingdao airport is China’s aviation hub. At present, it has opened international routes to London, Frankfurt, Paris, Vancouver, Sydney, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Moscow, Singapore, Osaka, Tokyo, Seoul and other cities. It has 166 domestic routes, 34 international routes, and three regional routes to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, carrying 25 million passengers annually.

       Qingdao is a famous international coastal resort city in China. Qingdao is rich in cultural tourism landscape and exotic architecture, known as the “World Architecture Expo”. The main attractions in Qingdao include Laoshan National Park, Badaguan, Zhanqiao, May 4th Square, Beer Museum, etc. Besides, Qingdao is also the host city of sailing competition for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the 13th Paralympic Games, and the 2014 International Horticultural Exhibition.
